    os.path.realpath(os.path.dirname(sys.argv[0]))

    So if you wanted to open a glad file you might use the following to get the full path:

    self.gladefile = os.path.join(os.path.realpath(os.path.dirname(sys.argv[0])), "wordpy.glade")
