Forum Suggestions: Subscribe to threads

    In most forums you can subscribe to threads to get a mail notify, that would be nice here too.

    Or even better: if there would be an rss or atom feed that shows every single post.

    Hi Supertux,

    I've added an extension that lets you subscribe to different things on the forums via email.

    There is also an RSS and atom feed available to the forums that shows either all of the post, or the posts in a specific thread.

    Hi,

    the actual Atom Feed only show newly created topic.

    But the "subscribe to forum" function seems to be exactly what I was hoping for.

    Hi supertux,

    It actually depends on where you are accessing the Atom or RSS feeds. If you access them on the main discussions page they will show a list of the recent (perhaps all) discussions. If you access them on a topics page it will show all topics on that page.

    Either way I'm glad you like the email subscription option.

    What I meant, is that it only show new topics, and not every new thread/answer.

    But as already said, the mail notification is grant.

    And if more users would be here, it might be even used :)

    It's a nice place here, but we seem pretty alone :(

    Maybe we need a general Python Q/A?

    Heh, I know what you mean supertux, there really isn't much of anything happening around here yet, but hopefully as time goes on other users will start to drift in and use the forums!

    As far as a general python Q/A what exactly do you mean? Do you mean something like the python category? Or some posts that start to answer some general python questions?

    Again these forums are pretty new, I'm hoping that some of the readers of my blog will start to use the forums to ask questions about their own python projects, or about things not covered in any of my tutorials.

    But I do have to thank you for participating in the forums so far!
